Second Hand Books from Muirs Books in Gisborne
Muirs Bookshop have been trading in second hand books since May 2014. Most books accepted for this area of the shop are non-fiction, all out of print, history, natural history, geography, and biographies. Occasionally collections from people will arrive in and they could include music, mechanics, royal histories, military and other high interest subjects. New Zealand books feature strongly and some long out of print Gisborne and East Coast books regularly come in too. There are many vintage children's books in stock now and there are some collections of old fiction.
On this page of the website you will find out of print books of all genre. Some will be old local history, others of high interest and some will be very rare books. We will add books here that are of high value. However, most books in the second hand part of the shop range from $1 to $20.
We currently have two military books that collectors will be interested in.

26 Battalion - Second New Zealand Expeditinary Force. This is part of The Official History of New Zealand in the Second World War 1939-1945 series. Inside the front cover is an official presentation card dated 1945 to Pte. E.J. Reed. ($250)
The Three Fishing Brothers Gruff by Ben Galbraith Hardbacks $35
Ben is a local writer and graphic artist. This was his first book and is now out of print. We try to find good quality second hand copies to hold in stock.
